Privacy Policy

Laetoli builds free, offline-first public digital infrastructure for health and education across East Africa. Privacy is not a feature we added — it is the foundation of how our software is engineered. By default, your data lives on your device, under your control.

Our applications (such as TibaPamoja, TibaFigo, TibaMama, Tiba, TibaAfya and SomaLabs) are offline-first. Health records, lab results, learning progress and personal notes are stored locally on the device where you create them. We do not require you to upload personal health information to our servers to use the apps.

We do not embed advertising networks, behavioral trackers, or third-party analytics SDKs that profile you. We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with advertisers or data brokers. There are no ads in our applications.

When you contact us by email, we receive the information you choose to send (your name, email address, and message). Enterprise and clinical deployments (such as TibaFigo+, Tiba+, TibaClaims and TibaSentinel) may process data on behalf of a healthcare organization under a separate data processing agreement with that organization, which acts as the data controller.

Where an app offers cloud backup or multi-device sync, it is opt-in. You choose whether to enable it. When enabled, data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored only to provide the synchronization service you requested.

Several of our apps support maternal and family health, including data about children. This information is entered and controlled by the parent, guardian, or caregiver who uses the app. We treat it with the same on-device, no-tracking principles described above.

Because your data is primarily stored on your own device, you can review, export, or delete it at any time by using the app or removing it from your device. For any data we hold (for example, email correspondence), you may request access or deletion by contacting us.

We may update this policy as our products evolve. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised date.
